Spotlight on Performing Arts

Spotlight on Performing Arts

Over 30 students took part in the Spotlight on Performing Arts, Gifted & Talented Partner School Event on Tuesday 20th January.

Year 11 students from the College’s four partner schools (Reigate, Warwick, Oakwood and de Stafford), who’d applied to do one of the College's four BTEC courses (Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance and Music) were thrown into the spotlight, as they immersed themselves in two Performing Arts workshops.

Zoe Dunkley, head of Musical Theatre at the College commented, “It was a fantastic event.  There was such an electric vibe in the Musical Theatre workshops.  Being involved in the evening reminded me why I love my job as much as I do!  All of the Partner School students threw themselves into it and it was great to see our current students leading sessions with them, and being so supportive.”
