Congratulations to all the students who received their A Level results today.
Speaking earlier today, Principal of Reigate College, Nick Clark said, “Results Day is one of the highlights of our year, as it’s the culmination of two years of hard work and dedication – not just from our students, but the whole College team – including teachers and those responsible for delivering additional support such as Tutors, Learning Support facilitators and Careers staff. It’s incredibly rewarding seeing the vast majority of our students gaining places at their first-choice universities and on highly sought after apprenticeship schemes.”
As is being widely reported, Ofqual, England’s exams regulator, has brought this year’s grade boundaries back to 2019, pre-pandemic levels in England, making it harder for students to achieve the highest grades. Despite this, Ellen Walkinshaw, Director of Progression at the College shared the exciting news that:
- 143 students got at least 3 A or A* grades
- 9 Reigate College students have received confirmed offers at either Oxford or Cambridge
- 11 students have had offers confirmed to study Medicine or Veterinary Science
Ellen went on to say, “It’s encouraging to see that the College’s specialist ‘Career Pathways’ tutorial programme is having an impact on the broad range of progression routes.”
