If you’ve applied for a place at the College – thank you! The College is extremely over-subscribed and for this reason, all applications received on and before, 1 November, are processed in the strict order outlined in the College’s Admissions Policy.
Please read the information below, ahead of attending your Admissions Interview, so as to be as prepared as possible.
Invitation and document upload
You’ll receive an email invitation for your Admissions interview that will be sent to the email address you provided in your application.
Before your interview, it’s vital you upload your last Year 10 and latest Year 11 school reports, as well as your predicted grades using your unique link (sent in your invitation email). This link is personal to you, so please do not share it with anyone else.
Please make sure your reports include effort grades, comments and attendance for both Years 10 and 11.

Your interview time
Rescheduling interviews is rarely possible due to limited slots. Missing your interview could result in a delay and possibly being placed on the College’s waiting list.
Course choices
Before your interview, we strongly recommend you spend some time researching what you’d like to study at the College, using the College’s A-Z course finder.
Please also think about the following:
- Why you want to attend the College and what you hope to achieve.
- Which GCSE subjects you enjoy and excel in.
- What you want to do post-College and which courses might best support your career goals.
- Whether you prefer coursework rather than exams.
For some subjects such as Law, Business and Biology, the College offers both A Level and BTEC options. BTECs may suit students who prefer coursework over exams.
If you’re considering university, we suggest you use UCAS.com to explore degree entry requirements, especially for degrees like Medicine or Engineering, that may require specific A Levels.
Please don’t worry if you’re unsure about your A Level (or equivalent) course choices. Your Admissions interview is just one of the steps we’ve lined up over the next few months to help you decide.
Understand course requirements
All courses have minimum GCSE requirements, which you can find on specific course pages. For example, you need a 6 in GCSE Maths to do Maths A Level.
During your interview we’ll review and discuss your overall grade profile and offer advice, based on your likely grades and abilities.
Changing courses before your interview
If you would like to request a change to A Level Dance, the BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts or any Music course, please email admissions@reigate.ac.uk so that we can arrange an audition.
Any other course changes can can be discussed during your interview, so there’s no need to inform us beforehand.
What should I bring with me?
As part of the application process, we need to verify your date of birth. Please bring a form of ID that includes your date of birth, such as a birth certificate, passport or other official document.
Who should attend with you?
It is strongly recommended you bring one parent or guardian with you.
Travel Information
Parking is available at the Rushworth Road entrance (postcode: RH2 0QF). Reigate Train Station is a 5-minute walk away and a bus stop is conveniently located outside the College.
Arrival
Please arrive in plenty of time and go to the Rispoli Theatre Foyer where you’ll sign in. Signs will help direct you on arrival at the College. You’ll attend a short presentation about the College before your interview.
If you’re unwell
If you’re unable to attend due to illness, please notify the College in advance by calling 01737 221118 or emailing admissions@reigate.ac.uk. Failure to inform us in advance could mean that your application is withdrawn.
The interview
You will be greeted by a member of the College’s experienced interviewing team who will:
- Discuss your school progress, including effort and attendance.
- Agree on your course choices – please be sure to have considered your options.
- Provide further information about the College.
- Answer any questions you may have about coming to the College.
The whole process will take about an hour.
Receiving your offer
You’ll receive an email with your offer within four weeks of your interview. This will explain the details of the offer type and what it means.
All offers are still conditional on you achieving the College’s minimum entry requirements of five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, in addition to any specific entry requirements for specific courses.
Course choice changes after your interview
If you’re thinking of changing to a course that requires an audition (e.g., A Level Dance, the BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts or any Music course), please email admissions@reigate.ac.uk so that we can arrange an audition.
For all other requests, the next opportunity to change courses after your interview is during your enrolment interview, at the start of the Autumn Term, following Introductory Day, GCSE Results Day and Choices Day.
Please note that there may be waiting lists at this stage, but in the vast majority of cases we can accommodate course changes.
Acceptance and registration
To secure your place at the College, please complete the Acceptance and Registration form sent with your offer. Be sure to do this within the deadline stated, as missing it could result in losing your place.
